Bargello Mellow

I have always enjoyed Bargello – the colour schemes, the interesting shapes, and the creativity of position. I find stitching Bargello patterns soothing for my soul and mind, hence the name Bargello Mellow!  The piece is a study of seven different Bargello patterns interwoven to create an interesting and colourful piece of contemporary art. Besides traditional Bargello patterns, this piece includes Bargello worked on the bias and contemporary patterns. Perle cottons are the base for the patterns, with a variety of metallic adding sparkle and zing. The stitched piece is 10-3/4″ x 7-7/8″.
