Ahwahnee

Ahwahnee

“Ahwahnee” is my interpretation of the stained-glass windows in the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite National Park. The piece contains a variety of different stitches and techniques such as laid fillings, string art stitches, diaper patterns and layered borders. Stitches include various types of Jessicas, 4- layered 8-Point Star, Sprats Head, Double Fan, Waffles, Crescents and 2-colour Chilly Hollow in this piece. The piece is further embellished with pearls. This class will appeal to those students who would like to try new techniques while challenging themselves by mastering complex canvaswork stitches.
